TOUCH/CAST

About TOUCH/CAST NEXT

Most agencies today talk about different disciplines such as advertising, direct marketing, interactive, PR etc.
A lot of the bigger ones are now scrambling onto the ‘integrated one-stop shop’ bandwagon, but still only think of things in terms of the current agency silos.
Many agencies are now saying that they’re in some way, ‘different’……

We are different to many in our industry.

In fact, in the past we’ve been accused by our peers of being ‘space cadets’! But the reality is that the world is changing, and fast.
To be fast nowadays, also means being nimble. It means that the skill sets needed to meet these changing needs are changing continually.

It is for this reason that we focus on ideas rather than disciplines and channels. We’re passionate about the big connecting ideas that will help drive change for a client.
We do not invest in huge back end, channel specific production teams. We bring in the specific skill sets needed to the get the job done on a case-by-case basis. This in turn means that we can always offer an independent, best in class outcome, not merely a ‘solution’ that fits the skills of our in-house resources like many agencies.

This also raises another area of difference. Being small and nimble, and using our model of delivering the right outcome for each and every brief, means a new way of working. The future lies in collaboration, not in ‘ownership & control’.
The ‘big idea’ might actually be a revolutionary new approach to packaging, an online campaign driven by unfolding narrative, some genuine branded programming content, a street level installation, or a retail store concept – all of this on top of traditional advertising and direct marketing initiatives.
These collaborations may need industrial designers, performance designers, musicians, digital specialists, film and TV industry content providers amongst others.

There’s never been a more exciting, or scary time to be in the marketing communications industry.

So Where Do We Fit In?

In a very short time, TOUCH/CAST NEXT has been recognized by our peers within New Zealand and internationally, and some of this work has crossed over and created genuine news media coverage for our clients.
We’re particularly proud of the fact that last year, Australia’s Ad News described us as a 'New Age' Ad Agency in one issue, and then followed this up by naming us as ‘One of five agencies breaking the rules in New Zealand'.

We know what we know, and most importantly, we know when to work with those who know more than we do.
